25.

There you stood

With utter grace

And to my eyes you were glued,

My eyes were glued to your beautiful face

There you smiled,

In an angelic way.

Thoughts in my mind you piled,

And I forgot everything I wanted to say.

There you talked,

In the sweetest voice ever.

My mind in thoughts you locked,

That leaving you I promised I’ll never.

There you walked,

Like a queen in her throne.

And with love I was soaked,

And I promised never to leave you alone.

26.

Music, art and all the beauty in the world

Would be ashamed in your presence.

And humanity, into sleep, by the stars would be lulled;

For their refulgent light when you are around

Will be nothing but hopeless pretense.

And it is blessed, the ground

On which you step, and it is immense

This feeling that my purpose

In your restless, unsure, sweet eyes I found;

And that my heart rather willingly or worse

Into this eternal prison you’ve bound

That I would,

If my legs could carry me across this dense room

Come to you and confess.

For it is gloom

Watching you, your innocent oddities express.

And your dress

Does seem too scared your form to possess.

They say it’s pretty but what a mess

It is, compared to your exquisite face.

That then

I took a pen

And tried for the first time to draw,

Hoping beauty can talent to the surface bring

But then you walked towards me, slow.

It was then I understood why I could never

(Even if genius from Monette or Shakespeare I borrowed)

Capture your beauty in art, literature or song.
